There were so many inspirational ideas that stood out to me in the Prophet's General Conference talk.

1. When we follow the Savior, live according to inspiration from the Spirit, and keep the commandments, joy and peace will be part of our lives. 

2. The Holy Ghost cannot be with us during sinful or worldly activities. 

3. To be in the world but not of the world, we need to pray. 1. 'Forget not that the Lord loves you.' This is the most important thing I learned after I started studying God's Word. Even though I am small and insignificant compared to the vastness of the universe, God knows and loves me. He is routing for me and wants me to return to His presence once more. I too have a tender connection with this tiny beautiful flower that mirrors the color of my dear Katie's eyes. The year before she left us, our family traveled quite a bit. Everywhere we went, we saw this little flower. At first I pointed it out. Later, every time Katie saw it, she said, 'Mommy, forget-me-not.' I love this sort of thing. The first request of the Relief Society is 72-hour kits. The typical kit has very little to eat and very little that anyone would want to eat. It is mostly white flour, sugar, salt, and chemicals masquerading as food. It was nice to have so much family there. I may post some pictures soon. At the last minute her photographer bailed, but Joseph has a client that helped out. It was also nice that this event wasn't a funeral.

This has been quite a year. Just about this time last year, we brought Joseph's parents to our place and then onto Phoenix. I'm really strange in that I read blogs written by people I've never met and probably never will meet. Oddly some of them have become friends. Odd, yes, but that's me.
